Tiagong Akyat was a standout amongst the most well known criminals in Philippine history. He threatened Manila and the adjacent territories in the 1920s. Conceived Santiago Ronquillo in Imus, Cavite at some point in the late nineteenth century, Tiagong Akyat got his moniker since he just entered homes and plunder it of its riches in the midst of the frightened occupants. Legend has it that Tiagong Akyat had a special necklace that made him imperceptible. This special necklace is called "Tagabulag" in Philippine legends.
