GULONG is about companionship, adoration and life. The story is told from the perspective of Apao, a keen, charitable kid whose mission for an old bike uncovers the stuff he is made of. With him on this experience are his insan Momoy and his bespren Tom-Tom. The story starts with an inquiry: How are our 3 companions going to spend their mid year excursion? Tom-Tom recommends that they go to his uncle's fishpond, a hour's bicycle ride from where they live. Apao and Momoy have an issue - they don't possess a bicycle! There are no jeeps and it is too far to walk. Momoy finds an old bike yet the proprietor, an old lady named Tita Maggie, will just offer it to him on the off chance that he pays her a hundred pesos. He concurs and guarantees to return with the cash the following day. This begins a progression of occasions which influences Apao, his companions, his family and even his group.
